The 4th EDA will take place in Norway, near Oslo, at the Hurdal Vision and Activity Center (Hurdal syn- og mestringssenter), a facility ran by Norges Blindeforbund, the Norwegian organization for visually impaired people.
This facility is a modern hotel, conference venue and activity center located 50 minutes North of Oslo City Center and 30 minutes from Oslo International Airport, on the shore of the Hurdalssjøen lake, near the small town of Hurdal.
“The scent of forest and pure nature, accompanied by the chirping of birds and the wind whistling in the trees. The feeling of soft moss underfoot, silk finish under your skis and lakes and river all around you. The taste of the forest’s rich variety, combined with real cream in the sauce.”
Hurdal Vision and Activity center is situated in the midst of Norway’s beautiful scenery, where forest meets water. The center is designed with full accessibility in mind and is a good example of how buildings can be designed for people with a visual impairment or other disabilities.
Meals are served in the generous and pleasant restaurant « Regnbuen » (The Rainbow). The Center is staffed day and night and has a fully licensed bar.
You can also meet by the fireplace, hot tub or in the hut by the lake. Or how about a fishing trip on beautiful Hurdalsjøen and sleigh rides in sparkling winter conditions?
All the conference delegates will be hosted at the conference venue which is also a fully equipped hotel of international standards.
Accommodation in a double room with breakfast will be included in the registration fees.

If you arrive in Norway on Wednesday 7th March, as recommended, please, make sure to land in Oslo no later than 17:00 local time in order to make it on time to the 4th EDA welcome dinner!
If you are not coming by plane and/or do not wish to ride the 4th EDA shuttles, bear in mind that the conference venue can’t be reached by public transportation.

We strongly encourage you to book an extra night at Hurdalsenteret and stay until Sunday March 11th. This will be a great opportunity for you to enjoy the place longer, continue exchanging with other delegates, and perhaps spend some time with the YPA participants and the NFFA members who will be holding their annual meeting at the same time. This could also be convenient for you if you happened not to find any suitable flight to leave Oslo on Saturday March 11th in the afternoon. Shuttle buses will also be organized to take you to Oslo International Airport on Sunday March 11th.
