The European Days of Albinism is a unique international event focusing, from various perspectives, on a rare genetic condition: albinism. It is:

  • An international scientific conference open to researchers, medical practitioners and students with various sessions featuring worldwide experts on albinism
  • A meeting of Albinism Europe, the network of European albinism patient organizations
  • A meeting of young people with albinism coming from all over Europe (3rd YPA)

Official 4thEDA arrival day: Wednesday March 7th, 2018.

Official 4thEDA departure day: Saturday afternoon March 10th, 2018

Optional departure day: Sunday March 11th, 2018 (Extra-night option)

To allow more exchanges between the participants and more oral presentations, the duration of the conference has been increased by half a day compared to the previous EDA conferences.

Abstract submission in now closed, but if you wish to exchange with the Scientific Committee on an abstract that you have submitted or that you could not submit on time, feel free to write to 4eda_abstracts@albinism.eu.

Program of the 3rd YPA

List of activities:

  • Introduction to Albinism Europe and the European associations of albinism
  • Outdoor activities: skiing, sliding, (skid)sledge, snowshoes and more
  • Visit of Oslo – treasure hunt / orienteering in small groups
  • Sharing of experience
  • Albinism – all the same but all different: alternative activity focusing on the diversity of phenotypes within the albinism community
  • Movies and debates to follow: “Change your heart not my color” (“Change ton cœur pas ma couleur”), “Moonlight princess“, and “¿Lo Vés?“
  • Social time
